The other day I came across this video and I thought it would fall right in line with our theme, a dumb life. I believe you will find it quite ironical how the word “Sacrifice” is used, the politicians in the video point to us, you and I, but there is never any mention of “them” the politicians to take the lead in these sacrifices they talk about.
The same old dumb ass politics that occurred 20 some years ago repeats itself today, the message is the same it’s just the characters that have changed.
This video does a good job of comparing the two campaigns.
Talk about history repeating itself, it is almost as if the same speech that Jimmy Carter used was copied and given to President Obama. Now, when they use the word “All”, we all have to sacrifice it always seems to exclude certain groups of people like politicians and other chosen entities.
It’s been a slow progression folks, over time we have allowed a small group of people slowly manipulate the politicians who have skewed the laws in favor of the corporations and lobbyists that work for them. For you and I, the average Joes and Joesttes, we are left as the ones who need to “Sacrifice” to save the world. But, what happens when we, the average people, are sucked dry, …no more money man.

Ok, now what happens?
Protests, we need a savior, it was only a few years ago and money was falling from the sky, now the whole game has changed for most of us.
I have to say this life is becoming dumber and dumber, the money just didn’t evaporate into space, or did it? When the federal reserve printed trillions and trillions of dollars during the housing bubble were those paper bills really backed up by anything more than promises?
There are a lot more questions than answers, this is just another confirmation of how dumb this whole life can be when we keep repeating mistakes from the past. The problem is this time it is more serious than before and many times dumb things are humorous, but this time the mistakes are not so funny.
